It just goes to show how much our Armed Forces have been affected by the stealth defence cuts of nuLabour and the more direct reductions of the Tory-led Clownation. When the Yorkshire Regiment has to parade thru the streets of a Wiltshire town (Warminster) than one of the many Yorkshire cities.
Where they would have welcomed them with open arms.
Then again it seems to be the MoD thing to try to eliminate the ties between squaddies and particular parts of this once proud nation. The "multi-culturalism" of our regiments?
After the scarifices this particular battalion made on their last tour of duty in Afghanistan one would have thought it could have been arranged for them to parade thru say Huddersfield?
